Tattoo Motel is queer tattoo artist collective.
A group of artists working together, under their own management, towards shared aims
influencing local tattoo culture. following shared ideologies. Collaborating with other artists and breaking away from harmful U.S. tattooing traditions. Creating safe, inclusive environments for artists and clients.
Located on stolen land in so called Athens, Ohio. Nestled in the hills.

We work by appointment only,
Walkins are only availble at special tattoo events.
We do not offer piercings, we are a tattoo only shop.
KN95 face masks are required during your appointment ( provided, free ) and can only be removed if absolutely necessary. You’re able to ask to step out when needed to eat/drink/ect.
Do not come in if you have covid or may have covid, or if you are sick in general.
Our Tattoo Artists will always reschedule if they are sick or were in contact with someone with covid.
Additional accommodations can be made upon request.
The studio is very wheelchair accessible. You can be tattooed in your wheelchair if wanted/needed.
Service animals are allowed with notice to give time for extra cleaning procedures.
You can select music & volume or wear headphones.
Lighting is cozy for comfort. Tattooing in natural light by windows.
No scented products are used. Let us know ahead of time if you have alcohol/ other topical allergies.
You can give us a heads up on additional accommodations you may need when you submit your tattoo request.

Can I bring guests to the appointment?
- Totally! if bringing more than 2 people with you, let the artist know.
What Payment methods do you accept??
- Card, tap, cash
We typically require deposits and small art fees when setting an appointment. That goes to you virtually where you can pay with card. If needed cash payment is also an option.
Item Are the products you use vegan?
- Yes! We use solid ink, fusion ink, dynamic ink, stencil stuff, hustle butter. (Certain allergies can likely be accomodated if asked when booking.) Additional products may be used by guest artists.
  Do you use latex?
- We do not, we only use latex free, nitrile medical grade gloves.
